I spent last weekend in Washington, D.C. and it got me thinking about the next few months. I graduate law school in May, then will spend two and a half months studying for the Bar Exam. I’ll then move to D.C. to start working! It’s a very exciting time, but it’s also quite hectic. Still, as I was walking through the streets of D.C., I was getting so excited for the next chapter of my life. A major change associated with the next chapter, however, is that I will spend a majority of my life in business/business casual clothing. As a young professional, I think it’s important to always look my best. I also enjoy adding touches of my personality to otherwise standard business wear. Continue reading “Fine Jewelry with AU|rate”
With temperatures dropping, now is a great time to stock up on fall pieces that you can wear all season. Usually, by December all the best pieces sell out (I think because of Christmas shopping!). So, I wanted to share which pieces I think would be great to pick up early in the season. Continue reading “Recent Fall Pieces”
As I write this, I’m sipping a venti chai latte (hot, of course, as we’re well into September) and wearing a cardigan, despite the fact it’s still 80 degrees outside. I keep seeing northeastern bloggers going apple picking, snapping fall foliage, and wearing chunky sweaters. I almost burn up wearing a cardigan and it’s nearly October! Anyway, I’m trying to get into the fall spirit and would like to share a little fall wishlist with some pieces I’d love to add to my closet this year. I love the cozy, brisk mornings of fall, but I have yet to experience one… here are pieces that are getting me excited for the day it feels like fall.
Baseball Cap | Leopard Flats | Green Belt | Patagonia Fleece Hoodie | Patagonia Popover | Burnt Orange Sweater | J. Crew Bell Sleeve Top| Monogram Leather Gloves | Cashmere Beanie | Over the Knee Boots | Barbour Plaid Scarf
I love over the knee boots… ever since Serena van der Woodsen wore a gray, suede pair with her Constance uniform. I have only owned one pair, but I’m tempted to invest in another pair this season. They look so good with skirts, bare-legged on not-quite-cold- days! I also love the fuzzy Patagonia fleeces, but I have yet to invest in one. Speaking of which, I also love burnt orange! I think it’s the quintessential fall color.
What styles are you loving this season?

Here with some Sunday inspiration. Here are 6 things I’m currently loving!
- A Beautiful Mess’s annual Friends-giving is serious inspiration. We’re planning to do a friends-giving next weekend, and this was just the inspiration I needed to get pumped!
- J. Crew holiday PJs are giving me feels. Also, I would generally like to get more PJ sets.
- Once November comes, you can never have too much fair isle. This fair isle scarf is SO lovely, and looks so cozy.
- Also, love this holiday sweater.
- Found a new pair of jeans that I love. Levis are SO soft and comfortable, makes hours of sitting and studying as easy as if I was in leggings.
- I’m currently obsessing over Hilary Rushford’s Instagram. So perfect and beautiful. A little daily inspiration for sure!
What are you loving this week??
It’s getting chilly here in Virginia! Today there was definitely a biting cold in the air as I was walking into my law school building. Moving from California is an adjustment. I knew I’d be cold, but it’s interesting to me that 60 degrees here feels significantly colder than 60 degrees in CA. It’s also raining more, which requires umbrellas, and other cold weather accessories! Today, I wanted my go to items once the chill in the air gets a little more intense!
Cute beanie | Lip Balm | Fuzzy earmuffs | Warm Beverage (green tea chai latte for the win!) | Cozy Socks | Warm Scarf
What are your go to accessories for cold weather?
I’m 22 years old, and yet I still take Christmas SO seriously. I love the holiday season. I started getting ridiculously into it when I was away from home for the first time in college. I remember thinking of the holidays as markers. Halloween meant the semester was half over, Thanksgiving was the weekend of pure bliss and food before the finals countdown, and Christmas meant that the semester was over, and it was time to be jolly with the family and bring on good cheer. I think now it’s hard because I’m not going home until Christmas, but I take the month of December (well, November and December really), so seriously in preparation. I ordered my December Daily album for this year, and started compiling a list for my mom (she requests one every year for ideas). This year, I noticed my list is a little heavy on coats, but it’s okay because I hear Virginia after winter break is VERY cold.
So, anywhere, here are the things I’m currently asking Santa for. I know it might be early to think about Christmas, but it approaches so fast, and the earlier you think about gifts you want to give as well as receive the better!
Green and Navy Flannel PJ set | Leather Monogrammed Laptop case | 50 mm camera lens | Gorgeous L.L. Bean Plaid scarf | Patagonia red Nano Puffer | White sneakers | City Coat | Two-tone Patagonia vest |L.L. Bean Fleece Pullover | Abercrombie skier sweater
I love winter time, and I’m excited to actually live somewhere that gets some snow! The above items are things I’m loving for this season!
Today I wanted to pop in and share my favorite items for this spring! The weather is a bit unpredictable lately, but I’m holding out hope that the warm weather will come and stay soon! There’s something about a warm day that makes graduation feel much closer! So, here’s to hoping the weather warms up and my top picks for spring:
Lilly Pulitzer Dress | Madewell Striped Short | Wala Swim One Piece | Floral Purse | Vineyard Vines Dress | J. Crew Scalloped Tank | Madewell Striped Tank | J. Crew Scalloped Slim Strap Tank | J. Crew Floral Shorts | Jack Rogers Sandals | Kate Spade Sandals
What spring items are you loving? Any stores have awesome spring collections?
After living in the residence halls for three and a half years, I’m feeling a little antsy. I’m loving my job, but I am also really looking forward to feeling slightly more adult and independent by having an apartment of some kind. Depending on what I end up doing for law school, I will likely either live on campus or live off campus. Regardless, I will have some sort of apartment style housing (with separate rooms for my kitchen, bedroom, and living area…that is insane!) I was recently scrolling through Pinterest, and couldn’t help but totally obsess about how cute some people’s apartments are! Seriously, some people really have a great sense of style that translates super well into their homes! So, without further ado, I wanted to share with you my favorite rooms/greatest inspiration I came across on Pinterest.

There is something about a gallery wall that I just love, especially in a living room above a beautiful couch! I love the look of layering textures and colors with phrases and other things to create an amazing gallery! I think gallery walls are also a really great way to show your personality in your apartment or home without being totally overpowering.
Something I think is super important in a home is comfort. I love lush fabrics and rooms that just look totally comfortable while also being really pretty. I love super puffy duvet covers and throw pillows and comfortable blankets! The room with a huge black and white print of JFK is perfect. I want to get my favorite print of Audrey Hepburn blown up and framed to put over my bed! I also love a good headboard. The shape of the headboard in the last photo is perfect. I love it! I’m also partial to fabric based headboards rather than wood headboards.
What decor do you think makes a home?
You may be aware that today is national sibling day, but if not, well, it is. I thought I would share some photos of my sister and I as well as a few thoughts about the benefits of having an amazing sibling. Tomorrow is my final day of classes before Spring Break, and that means I get to see my sister soon! I’m SO excited.
My sister, Brie, is six years my senior, and the age difference was pretty hard while I was growing up. However, once I got into middle school, we started getting a lot closer, and I realized that it’s super helpful to have an older sister because she has experiences she can share with you, and she is someone you can talk to when no one else would understand. My sister always offers me incredible advice, and is there to catch me when I’m hurt by my friends, heartbroken, or just plain pissed off at something. My sister and I are pretty much opposites, but I think that’s the beauty of sisters…it doesn’t matter how different you are, at the end of the day, you have someone who will love you unconditionally. I feel so blessed to have such a caring, daring, inspiring sister, and I thank the lord everyday that he gave me her. She’s absolutely hilarious, and she pushes me to not be so uptight, and she also reminds me that people suck and to let the bad ones go. Growing up, she was someone I could lean on, look to for help, and aspire to be like. I will never thank her enough for doing my hair, teaching me how to do my makeup well, and helping me figure out what style even means. Honestly, when I was nominated for homecoming queen in high school she would drive to my house everyday the entire week before just to curl my hair and help me get ready because she did an ombre on my hair, and I had no clue how to properly style one. She’s the absolute best, and has the biggest heart. So, if you have a sibling, feel blessed because you know that you’ll always have someone!
