Today I wanted to share my top picks for gifts for men. Whether it’s a significant other, brother, brother-in-law, or father, I think all of my picks work. Somehow, most of my picks ended up with a travel theme, but alas, travel materials are something most of the men I know don’t buy for themselves, so would be great gifts, especially if you have travel planned in the new year! When I need gifts for men, I got to Mark and Graham or Kiel James Patrick, pretty much exclusively. Continue reading “Gifts For Men”
I’m 22 years old, and yet I still take Christmas SO seriously. I love the holiday season. I started getting ridiculously into it when I was away from home for the first time in college. I remember thinking of the holidays as markers. Halloween meant the semester was half over, Thanksgiving was the weekend of pure bliss and food before the finals countdown, and Christmas meant that the semester was over, and it was time to be jolly with the family and bring on good cheer. I think now it’s hard because I’m not going home until Christmas, but I take the month of December (well, November and December really), so seriously in preparation. I ordered my December Daily album for this year, and started compiling a list for my mom (she requests one every year for ideas). This year, I noticed my list is a little heavy on coats, but it’s okay because I hear Virginia after winter break is VERY cold.
So, anywhere, here are the things I’m currently asking Santa for. I know it might be early to think about Christmas, but it approaches so fast, and the earlier you think about gifts you want to give as well as receive the better!
Green and Navy Flannel PJ set | Leather Monogrammed Laptop case | 50 mm camera lens | Gorgeous L.L. Bean Plaid scarf | Patagonia red Nano Puffer | White sneakers | City Coat | Two-tone Patagonia vest |L.L. Bean Fleece Pullover | Abercrombie skier sweater
I love winter time, and I’m excited to actually live somewhere that gets some snow! The above items are things I’m loving for this season!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year because it kicks of the holiday season, and from the day of and following I’m basically enveloped by the Christmas vibes. But before Christmas, I look forward to Thanksgiving. My family usually keep Thanksgiving pretty low key and intimate. We focus on good food and reflection about what we’re thankful for. Despite being sort of low key, though, I always try to dress up a little just because it’s a holiday. So, I put together a few outfit ideas for a few different types of Thanksgiving celebrations.
For a family dinner that is a little more festive and dressy, I would wear a cute button down (plaid is festive!), with dark jeans, red pumps, and sparkly earrings. This outfit is pretty casual, but dressed up a little by accessories. Perfect for a cozy dinner that’s just a little bit fancier.
If you have a fancier celebration, with family and friends maybe, I would wear a cute skirt, a comfy sweater (with elbow patches of course), a chunky scarf, and comfortable flats (for hours of socializing).
For a night in with your family that’s very low key, I would wear a crewneck sweater, a comfy vest, bean boots, and a cute pom pom hat. This is usually my go-to Thanksgiving outfit, but I may try to mix it up this year (emphasis on try).
I’m so excited for Thanksgiving!
The most fun and hardest people to shop for are my sister and best friends. We all have really different tastes, so it’s hard to find something I know they will love. I always have fun shopping for them, however, because I get to look for things that aren’t necessarily my personal style, but I still really love. I also see it as a challenge, and I love a good challenge. I’ve put together a little gifting guide with items that I think are the perfect gift, whether big or small, for your best friend or sister! Some combination of the gifts would be even greater! My
My Top Picks:
Pom Pom Hat: A cute pom-pom hat is not only a cute gift, but it is practical too. If you live somewhere cold, a good beanie is a must. This gift will be useful on a daily or weekly basis!
Leather Gloves: I love a good pair of gloves. Though I live where we don’t really need gloves, I still really want to a good pair of leather gloves at some point!
Monogram Mug: I love this gold mug. It encompasses the holiday spirit, but can be used for morning coffee year-around. I think a mug is a great gift if you don’t want to do something too big, but still want to give something nice.
A good sweater in a warm, vibrant color | Sturdy coat in a velvety cream | Festive and Comfy Socks | A pom-pom beanie | Duck Boots (because they’re adorable) | Red beanie just in time for the end of the holiday season | Cozy Scarf | Coffee Table Book about Coffee | Beautiful and Simple necklace | Red Hot clutch | Monogram mug in GOLD | Sparkly Gold Slippers | Camel leather gloves | Tartan Sleep Mask | Cream Bucket Bag | Frasier Fir Candle (smells literally like Christmas)
What’s your go-to gift for a sibling or friend?
I hope your November is going well, and I hope you’re gearing up for chowing down on some amazing food at Thanksgiving. Now, I know people probably don’t want to start listening to Christmas music and going full-on Christmas yet, but it’s never too early to start shopping around for some Christmas gifts! Today, I’m sharing my top picks for gifts for the men in your life. Whether you’re buying for a boyfriend, husband, best friend, grandpa, or other, you will likely be buying for someone special to you. I hope you find these gifts as special as I do, and I hope this list incites some holiday shopping inspiration in you!
Leather Portfolio, Wool gloves (you can text with them!), Cashmere Scarf, Leather and Gold Headphones, Striped Hat, Fair Isle Sweater, Cologne pack, Cards Against Humanity, Navy Quilted Vest, Leather and Platinum Flask, Cozy Socks, Wool Sweater (with elbow patches!)
I absolutley love the idea of gift giving, and I love shopping for people. J. Crew and Brooks Brothers currently have great gift ideas for men. I also love personalized leather goods, which Mark and Graham have a ton of for men and women.
