Meet Me in the City

Hello, World.

Jan Term is almost over, and I couldn’t be more sad about it! This month has gone by so quickly, and this week is crazy busy. I have a 10-page paper due Friday by noon, a Resident Advisor application to complete, an Orientation Leader application to also complete, three review boards, and you know, a life to maintain. So I’m starting to go insane, but I wanted to share some photos from a trip to the City last weekend! I love the City, and I love days with my friends where I’m not utterly stressed out even more. During this trip I had my first macaroon, saw the Painted Ladies, and got sushi (which is always a great thing). I like to explore new places or things every time I get to go to SF, so I’m really happy it was a successful day!

Rain in the City

Hello, World.

You know what I love about Jan term? The fact that I have way more time to go to the city! Over the past year I’ve grown to love San Francisco. Prior to college, I was all about New York City, and thought that it was the greatest city in the world. I would still like to live in NYC someday, but I’m beginning to think I could easily live in San Francisco as well. Anyway, on Saturday, my friends and I took a stroll into the city, and went to the Presidio, Fillmore Street, and the Marina district to hangout. It was rainy at first, which made taking pictures a little difficult, but then the sun came out, and we were able to walk around, and just hangout. We went to my favorite coffee spot, Beanery on 9th and Judith, and my favorite bakery, Arizmendi a few storefronts down. They have the BEST gluten free scones, and I absolutely love it. I would drive to the city just for a scone, no joke. We also went shopping around some used bookstores, and some clothing stores, then ate dinner before heading back to campus. Overall, it was a great day, and I seriously wish I lived in the city sometimes because there is so much to do! Here are a few photos from our day:

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage I had a great day, and I’m hoping I can go to the city a lot more before the school year is over. I’m also hoping I can get some kind of internship in the city either this summer or next summer. Housing might be difficult to figure out, but it’ll be cool!

Holiday Wishlist

It’s Friday, and I’m so excited because that means it is finally the weekend, and next week I will be heading home for Thanksgiving. Hell yes. I’m so excited for this weekend because I’m spending it with two of my best friends. Tomorrow morning we’re going into San Francisco to visit an art museum, get coffee, wander the streets, and do a little (Christmas) shopping. I love the holiday season, and I especially love the holiday season in the City! Anyway, with Christmas coming up, I’ve thought about all the things I would like to give or receive on December 25th. I’ve complied a little collage of things I would want to receive, so here it is:

1) A Holiday Sweater from Urban Outfitters.

2) Boot socks from Free People.

3) An adorable green slouchy hat found on Pinterest.

4) Hunter rain boots in eggplant.

5) Anthropologie gloves for the really chilly days.

6) Some kind of oversized plaid scarf that is really colorful and warm (found on Pinterest)

7) Marc by Marc Jacobs bag in wine. I love cross body bags. They are so much more convenient.

8) J Crew. Necklace. I really like the look of these chunky necklaces with colored shirts and blazers or sweaters. Something about them make me feel really proper, but still kind of fun at the same time.

9) This sweater is pretty phenomenal. I love the print, and I’m a huge cardigan person…so there’s that. This sweater is from Ruche.

So, nine things I would really love to obtain near the holidays. I also tried to choose things that are relevant to the holiday season! Happy Friday, everyone! Enjoy the weekend.
