As a stylish academic, I wanted to give you a glimpse into my academic life. I graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California, where I studied English and History. I recently graduated from law school at The College of William & Mary. I am working in Washington, D.C., a city I fell in love with after a summer internship there. A bit about me? I still use “old-school planners” and color-code mine, along with just about everything else I can color code. I monogram anything that isn’t moving. I am a self-proclaimed brunch connoisseur, and I appreciate a healthy dose of sarcasm.
On the stylish front, I mix my west coast roots with east coast admiration. I describe my personal style as bohemian prep: casual California vibes balanced with a classic flair and a touch of gingham. I believe the best accessory is confidence.
I started Bottled Creativity because I had a creative writing professor (who was also a comedian) who told me that my humor was so dead-on that I should start a blog. Over the years, my blog has become a space for strong women who are intelligent and driven but love the feminine things in life. We see the media rip on intelligent women for not being feminine enough or being too feminine. Well, I object. I believe in the power of women, and believe that intelligent and stylish is not an oxymoron. I believe women can love style and feminine details just as much as we love academia or our professions. I’ve cultivated a space that offers books reviews, style, and honest reflections on life as a young professional or stylish academic.
I also started Bottled Creativity because when I was applying for college I did not have as much guidance as I wanted. It’s my hope that my blog can answer questions you may have about college, law school, or the job search. Whether you want to know more about academics, social life, or just general life questions that arise as a young professional, this blog is for you!

Hi! This is definitely my kind of blog – anything about everything I guess! I am also an academic overachiever and prize myself on wanting to learn more. I am also very sarcastic sometimes and note to you, that nothing I say in this comment is meant to be sarcastic. You’ve got a great blog! You have a new follower!
