Today I am happy to bring you a guest post written by Adam King, a student at Syracuse University. Adam offers a gathering of springtime necessities. I totally agree that pastels are a must in spring, and with graduation just around the corner, I’ve been looking for a fun, colorful dress. This palette that Adam came up with is giving me serious inspiration for the color dress I want to find, as well as spring style in general! I love a good pair of flats in the spring, and I tend to wear a lot more statement jewelry in the spring and summer since I wear less layers of clothing! I’m looking forward to spring, mainly because it’s the perfect time for comfy dresses and the warm weather is so comforting!
Hi, All! Adam here.
Spring is just around the corner and I know some of you lucky ones out there are heading down south on spring break soon. The great thing is, for anyone that is staying up north, this is the perfect opportunity to start your spring/summer wishlist!
I love bringing in spring with pastel pants since they are a great transitional piece until it is warm enough to be wearing shorts and dresses. It’s great to pair colored jeans with a simple top and dress it up with bright accessories.
I know I’ve been ignoring the elephant in the room, the umbrella. Lets face it spring showers are inevitable so why not be prepared with a cute fun umbrella to take your mind off of the dreary weather. Felix Rey founders Salaika Zarrouk and Lily Rafii, now Lily Band after marrying Doug Band, probably had the same thing in mind to bring light to dark rainy days.
While I am not one of the lucky few that will be going on spring break, these pieces are bringing me a lot of inspiration for when it’s time to start getting ready for spring!
Hope you all enjoyed this guest post! I know I’m getting excited to start buying some springtime items to add to my closet!
