Hello, World!
I hope life is treating you well. I recently started January Term at my college, and I am taking screenwriting. I’m excited to actually try my hand at writing for the screen. In the past, I wrote a novel, wrote a play, and wrote short stories. I’ve never written a screenplay, but I love movies. Writing my own should be fun! January Term is traditionally pretty low key, which is always a nice way to ease into spring semester.January Term is something unique about the school year, and it’s a part of the year I really like. Even though it can be hard to come back after winter break, it’s always fun to take classes I would not ordinarily get to take. While I originally wanted to travel my senior Jan Term, I was unable to do so because of certain factors, and I was scared my on-campus class wouldn’t be as amazing as getting to go to Ireland or Italy. While I’d still love to see both of the places someday, I am happy that my on-campus class is fun and enjoyable.
I’m in the process of finishing the application process for law school, and it’s a nerve wracking experience. I will be so relieved when I know what next year is going to look like. I’m so Type-A that it’s hard for me to not have a plan or some semblance of what is happening. The waiting game of applying to school reminds me a bit of being a senior in high school. Even though I’m excited to graduate college, I get a little anxious when I think about the fact that I don’t know what is happening next year. I don’t know exactly what my next step is. So much is uncertain, and while it’s stressful, it’s also really exhilarating that I’m on the verge of a huge life decision and change. Change is so positive sometimes, and I’m excited to see what happens in the future.
How is your January going?
Truly,
Callie leigh
