Hello, World.
With my birthday coming up, as well as RA training, shopping for cute, versatile dresses is a must. RA training is business casual, so I want to make sure I have some business-appropriate dresses and outfits to wear. I usually wear slacks, but I end up dying from heat. So this year, I decided to buy a few extra dresses, and stick mainly to those while being trained. Training is pretty active, and it’s hard to run around and do ice-breakers while wearing a dress, but I’d rather be cool, and get out of a game early, than be hot and win an ice-breaker. Anyway, I went to Kohl’s (which is slowly becoming my favorite store for more impulse-level purchases). I’m basically obsessed with the LC Lauren Conrad line. While not everything is my style, I usually find a couple gems. I admired Lauren Conrad’s style on Laguna Beach, The Hills, and now, when she’s a successful designer and author. If I was shorter, I’d probably rock the whole skinny jean and pump combo a lot more frequently!
So when I was browsing her line the other day, I came upon this cute blue dress. It’s hard to tell in the photos, but it’s a sort of jersey material. So comfortable! It’s also machine washable (which is a MUST if you live on campus). It also has some fun flirty lines that are slimming, and add dimension to an otherwise casual ensemble.
