My skin has the tendency to get a little more dry during the fall and winter months, especially if I’m stressed. I went into Sephora the other day because I was running low on a lot of my face products, and I wanted to get a new moisturizer. I was looking for a moisturizer that would add hydration to my skin, but was still light and not greasy. I struck gold. Really though. I’m obsessed with my new moisturizer, and I wanted to share why. I also wanted to share some of my must-have beauty products at the moment.
The moisturizer the woman at Sephora recommended was the Dr. Dennis Gross moisturizer that can be used day and night. It’s more of a gel base, and it goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated all day! I would highly recommend trying this moisturizer the next time you’re looking for a good hydration moisturizer.
The other products I’m using daily? My Benefit Fake Up concealer because it’s basically magic. It’s light but hides all the dark circles. I’ve felt really exhausted lately, so having a good concealer is a must. The Naked Skin liquid foundation is amazing! It’s so light and makes my skin look refreshed, soft, and clean. I only use a little since I also use powder, but a little goes a very long way with this product. Over my liquid foundation, I use Smashbox powder foundation. The powder is light, like all my makeup, and goes on smoothly. I basically dust it on, as I don’t really need heavy coverage. I’m very pale, though, and this is one of the best powders for my skin tone. The other item I just cannot live without is the Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Mascara. This mascara is the one I’ve used for years, basically since it was released. It gives so much volume, and its pretty black in color, which add definition to my lashes. When in a hurry, I at least apply this product.
In light of fall and the approaching winter, I also use the Caudalie hand cream. It has a citrus based scent, and is so moisturizing for my hands. I absolutely adore it, and I no longer feel embarrassed by how dry my hands look. I also invested recently in a travel size of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I don’t necessarily use this everyday, more like whenever I feel like I need a little extra shine and softness. I always use this on days I’m taking photos because it adds an extra finish to my skin. It’s an amazing product that really works well in smoothing skin and making it look its best.
