I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Thanksgiving! I’m ready for pie, and stuffing, and turkey, and mashed potatoes, and comfort food, and family, and happiness, and a break. I absolutely LOVE the holiday season. The holidays are my happiest time of the year in so many ways. For one, I get to spend time with my family. Second, I get to eat way too much food and way too many sweets and I don’t have to feel guilty. Third, I get to lounge around in sweaters and scarves and not die of heat. I’m also a huge fan of holiday music (I know, it’s the worst), but it’s still a little early in the year for that (wait until we get to December 1st).
Anyway, in light of the approaching holiday, I thought it would be fun to share some ideas about how to dress for Thanksgiving. Wearing something comfortable, no matter how casual or dressy your holiday is, is absolutely key. We’re going to be experiencing some expanding waistlines, so we want to make sure whatever we wear is cute, flattering, and comfortable. I’ve put together three looks, each a little more casual than the previous one.
For Thanksgiving at my house, I usually opt for either Look One or Look Three. I’m not a huge skirt person, so I usually stick to either jeans or a dress. When we spend the holiday at my family’s cabin, I always opt for jeans because the celebration is so small. When we’re with more of our family, however, I’ll usually dress it up a little and wear a dress.
What do you wear for the holiday?
