Hello, World.
In the last year or so I’ve become a hat person. I used to only wear baseball hats if it was required, and I definitely never picked hats out while shopping. Sure, I liked hats on other people, but I never thought of my face as one that looked good with a hat. So last winter, when I realized I was pinning a lot of looks that had hats in them, I started considering the idea of buying myself a baseball cap. I had previously warmed up to the idea of sun hats, and bought two to wear while lounging on the beach during the summer, but I was still rather unsure about baseball caps. However, I ended up going to my niece’s T-ball game, and I wore a hat to shield my face from the sun. Guess what? I didn’t hate the baseball cap look. So about a month later I was in my campus bookstore checking out the new merchandise, and stumbled upon a white SMC cap. I took a risk, and bought it (you can see it styled here in a weekend college look). Anyway, to make a long story short, I started seeing a lot of people wearing the Southern Proper hat featured in this post, and I fell in love. The hat so much character, and I am a sucker for a good plaid piece. Also, the little lab with the red bowtie is too much. I adore it.

I swear I’m trying to will fall to come… I love fall more than anything, and I really need some cold weather soon. I love dressing for cold weather more than other seasons, and I always feel more put together in fall. I’m not totally sure why, but I just feel like fall is warmer than summer in a different way than just temperature. Fall is filled with a transition to holiday spirit, oversized sweaters, and leather boots. Fall will forever hold my heart.
Are you ready for fall?
Truly,
Callie leigh
